Clara Slattery MIACP

I have 14 years of experience providing emotional support to clients in a one-to-one setting, 8 of which as a psychotherapist. My background is with people who have experienced sexual violence, trauma and loss of sense of self. I have extensive experience working with non-Irish people including migrants, asylum seekers and prisoners, and can offer support through German.

I also work with the organisation Pieta, providing therapy to adults and adolescents in suicidal distress, who self harm, and those bereaved by suicide. This work includes supporting families and communities.

I trained as an Integrative Psychotherapist with the Tivoli Institute, Dublin meaning I use a range of approaches including Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Person Centred to suit the individual needs of each person. I completed an MA in Gestalt Therapy with the Gestalt Institute of Ireland / Institute of Technology Carlow. 

I am an accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and work in accordance with their Code of Ethics and Practice. This includes engaging in Continuous Professional Development and availing of Supervision.
